Ed Sheeran takes on Ellie Goulding for BBC Music song award

Ed Sheeran is back at the awards for a second year running after taking home the gong for Best British Artist in 2014

Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding and Jason Derulo are all in the running for song of the year at the BBC Music Awards.
Their tracks, Bloodstream, Love Me Like You Do and Want To Want Me are among 10 nominations to be announced ahead of the awards in Birmingham on Thursday.
Other songs in the running include Jess Glynne's Hold My Hand and Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars.
Out of the five awards at this year's event, song of the year is the only accolade voted for by the public.

The shortlisted songs represent the 10 most-played tracks on BBC radio and television in the past year.
The nominations are:
  • Bloodstream - Ed Sheeran
  • Love Me Like You Do - Ellie Goulding
  • Uptown Funk - Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars
  • Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix) - OMI
  • Take Me To Church - Hozier
  • Want To Want Me - Jason Derulo
  • Hold My Hand - Jess Glynne
  • Lean On - Major Lazer & DJ Snake feat. MØ
  • Can't Feel My Face - The Weeknd
  • See You Again by Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth
Voting commences on the BBC Music website at 07:00 BST on Wednesday, 9 December.
Among the nominees is Major Lazer's party anthem Lean On, which was recently named the most-streamed song ever on Spotify, racking up an impressive 526 million plays.
Goulding's Love Me Like You Do was the theme song to the hit film Fifty Shades of Grey, while Hozier's Take Me To Church has been covered by everyone from Ed Sheeran to Demi Lovato.
Canadian artist The Weeknd spent nine consecutive weeks in the top 10 with his Michael Jackson-inspired single Can't Feel My Face; while Wiz Khalifa's See You Again was penned as a tribute to action movie star Paul Walker, who died in a car crash in 2013.
Adele has been nominated in both the British Artist of the Year and BBC Live Performance categories
The second annual BBC Music Awards will be held at Birmingham's Genting Arena on 10 December, hosted by Chris Evans and Fearne Cotton - with One Direction and Rod Stewart set to perform alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra.
At the weekend, it was announced that Mumford and Sons had withdrawn from the show.
"We're out on tour at the moment, and we've realised that we just can't make it work to do two shows in one day," the band said in a statement. So sorry to anyone who was looking forward to seeing us on the telly... Hope to see you out on the road some time."
Other awards to be announced on the night include British Artist of the Year and BBC Live Performance of the Year as voted for by a BBC Music panel and leading music journalists.
The awards will be broadcast on BBC One on 10 December at 20:00 GMT.
